Hi All,
While relieving any associate from the company is it mandatory to give both Relieving & Experience Certificate Differently ??
actually we do give experience & relieving Letters separately but our Management suggested me to give combination of 2 in 1 letter. Is it correct Otherwise Do I follow the same old Procedure.
Pls let me know !!!!

Dear Latha
Relieving is to ensure that he does not owe liability to the organisation.
Experience is to certify that he was working in the organisation and was handling the core responsibilities so that this will enable him to showcase his talent outside.
By merging you can just state at the end that he has been relieved and does not owe anything to the organisation and clean chit is given.
It all depends how you want to implement.
If you could call me we can discuss

Dear Latha,
Relieving letter is basically given to relieve an employee when he has served his notice period or completed the given assignment or project. Most of the resignees want the RL to be given asap, since the new employer will ask for RL on the first instance. When the settlement is done and the employee has no dues, then Service certificate is given. In general the RL will have the date of resignation and date of relieving, but service certificate will have the period of experience & conduct. If the employee is of no urgence to get the letter, you can provide the combined form of RL & SC at a time.

Hi Venky & Suresh,
Thanks a ton for the reply :)
Now I understand that Relieving Letter serves the different purpose when compared to the Experience letter,
Yes even I do agree with you, But in our relieving letter Format we have no issues on the clearances it just holds a clause saying that employee should not invovle directly or indirectly with the Similar Product Services what actually the compay is in to, we have a separate Exit formats to get the clearances certificate form different related depts.
Cheers
