Respected Members, I would like to understand what all policies need to be prepared in a Digital Marketing organisation. Here, the work culture is different from the IT.

Dear Suhani,

Designing the right policies is one of the means of shaping the organisation's culture. We cannot have the policies that suit according to the culture of the company.

While designing the policies, please remember that these are designed in order to:

a) Bring uniformity in the systems and processes
b) Delegate the powers to juniors. When policies are well in place, juniors take guidance from these and they don't have to disturb their seniors for seeking guidance
c) Promote a culture of justice in the company.
d) Enforce discipline in the company
e) Improve enterprise's competitiveness

Why have you compared the culture of a digital marketing company with that of an IT company is not understood. While designing the policies, just keep in mind the "general good" of the organisation. Whether or not the culture matches or mismatches with any other industry is a secondary matter.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar

Marketing or not, there are three parts of any strategy:

A diagnosis of your challenge
A guiding policy for dealing with the challenge
A set of targeted actions that are necessary to accomplish the policy

Depending on the scale of your business, your marketing strategy may include several moving parts, each with different goals. With that said, working on your strategy can become daunting at times.

So, if you're ever feeling overwhelmed about your marketing strategy, refer to these three steps to keep you focused on achieving your objectives.
