Hi, I am a digital marketing professional, and I joined my new employer (USA-based) on February 12, 2020. During the COVID-19 outbreak, we were all advised to work from home starting March 10. On April 2, 2020, the HR department of this company called me and informed me that I was terminated due to my low performance, as directed by the CEO. They didn't provide any warning or indication during my employment.
When I tried emailing the CEO to inquire about the reason for my termination, they disabled my official email ID and account, preventing me from logging in further. I then emailed the CEO from my personal email, and he responded, stating that "the content I am creating is not up to the standard," which led to my termination.
While I have received my salary for this month, the termination was abrupt, without any notice period, and amidst the COVID-19 situation, making it challenging to seek a new job. I am unsure of what steps to take in this situation and would appreciate any valuable suggestions.

To give an honest answer, kindly look for another job. No legal remedy can give you timely relief. Your problem is genuine in that no notice was given. I am sure there was a notice period specified in your appointment order. My only suggestion would be to look around and, in the meantime, improve your skills in your field. Use this sudden break from work to strengthen your job skills in a constructive manner. Wish you all the best.
