Hi, I have worked with a MNC for 2 years. Suddenly in the month of May 2010 the HR calls me up and says that my services are no longer required in the organization and i should resign. When i refused to resign they threatened me with termination. Then on June 15th, 2010...i received a termination of service letter from the HR citing just the employment contract with me....prior to this there no communication was given to me on performance related or any other issue.
What are my options.... Regards..

simple,
See you have two options, one- to keep thinking that you are terminated and there is nothing left in your life, finally end up in a wine bar.
Or
you can take this as an opportunity and make your move in life. All that you have to think is, not to repeat your past , and start with a new ray of hope. Trust me god wont come down to let you know what to do next. You have to make the difference. Just think that this job was really not for you, and they didnt deserve someone like you. Trust me, we people individually have so much of talent in us that we just cannot understand what and which one to pick up. so just find one and make your mark in the scenario.

First Go to a neat and good near by BAR hotel, Have three large of Johnie Walker Whisky or Smirnof Vodka or currently available brand.Finish one or two Marlboro or Rothmans cigarettes. Now your mind will be in good condition for serious thinking about your future.Even After that you are unable to find a solution, post again your query on citehr. We will seriously investigate the situation and find a suitable solution.

Hi Bharat,
When HR terminates any employee, they have to mention in black & White the reasons for termination. If they saw that you have not been performing well, then they need to provide your performance reports and comments on that. Also most of the companies gives 3 warnings before final termination.
Have a meet with your HR and ask them to give the reasons for termination in written.
Sorry, but I don't think you have to land in a Bar.This is not an end of your life.
You can contact me if you require any help

Hi Madhav,
Thanks for the reply...i have not been given any written notice on my performance...it has been a forced termination from the company side....I want to know the legal options that i have with me as going to the HR is not going to solve any problem...they have done it in the past also..
