Hi ....
Anyone can please tell me.......is the salary offered to the candidate is really need to mention in the offer letter???
Bcoz anyway we are supposed to give the clear break up of the salary in the appointment letter. so is it necessary to put the same in the offer letter as well????

Yeah it good practice to give all such details in Offer Letter but now a days i have seen many candidates negotiating on basis of offer letter to another company that i have an offer from so and so company with xyz package and thus not joining after confirmation as well.

An offer letter is an offer for job. It is the basis on which the candidate will leave his job and come to your company.
Do you think it makes sense to give it without specifying the amount of salary you be giving ?
It is not necessary to specify the breakup, but giving the CTC makes sense.
Candidates will always use offer letters to negotiate with others, just for that you can't make the offer letter meaningless
