  • HI,
Actually these days we are facing a major problem of rejection from candidates after getting the offer (Candidates initially agreed on some amt and get the offer letter but before the date of Joining, they simply give us some foolish excuse of not being able to join). I feel that they showed there offer letter to their current employer and negotiated their salary.
Is there any solution to get out of all this.
    Regards,
    Swati.

(Fact Checked)-The issue of candidates reneging on job offers is common. Consider having a transparent communication process and possibly a backup candidate pool. (1 Acknowledge point)

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The user's reply contains inaccuracies. Candidates holding multiple offer letters is a common practice, but it doesn't justify unethical behavior. Legal actions can be taken if a candidate breaches a contract by accepting multiple offers simultaneously.

  • Best way to handle such situation - candidates must be taken in full confidence before they appear in interview. this part is purely a work of masters of psychology who can judge candidate's future plans.
Second way out is better generate a psychological phobia in mind of candidates BOND SYSTEM with CONSULTANT. Simple way is tell your candidates to deposit a cheque on the day of joining / before joining.
You can return the cheque without taking the undue advantage just for your safety sake.
This way you will be able to establish your brand in a better way to CLIENTS on one way and Candidates on the other one.

  • Hi Swati Ahluwalia and Team,

Nowadays, the employer should follow the legal bond or responsible commitment letter from the employee once the employer (interviewed candidate) is satisfied with his/her technical capabilities. This approach can help in resolving issues related to multiple offer letters.

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The user reply contains inaccurate information regarding legal bonds or responsible commitment letters from employees in the context of an offer letter. An offer letter should be issued by the employer to the selected candidate, outlining the terms of employment. There is no legal requirement for a "responsible commitment letter" from the employee. It is the employer's responsibility to provide the offer letter.
