Hi,
I went through your offer letter template suggested by Mr. Md. I am interested in one of the clauses mentioned in the offer agreement in Annexure B under the section 'Termination of Service' that is highlighted below.
"Unauthorized absence or absence without permission from duty for a continuous period of 7 days would make you lose your lien on employment. In such a case, your employment shall automatically come to an end without any notice of termination or notice pay."
I wish to know if it is statutorily accepted. We are facing a serious problem with absconding employees in our company in the ITES industry. If this is legally accepted, I believe I can recommend this to my management, which will help solve our major problem. We have been informed that HR has to send 3 warning letters to an absconding person and then remove them from the rolls, which is the current practice. Due to this procedure, we are only able to remove a person from the rolls after an average of 1 month plus, which significantly impacts our business plan, productivity, and recruitment strategy.

I have gone through your offer letter. Kindly indicate the time for the lunch break and when to resume. Also, please specify the start and end times for work. It would also be prudent to mention that staff might be asked to stay if the need arises for overtime duties.
