Hi, I want to esquire if a probationer is eligible for getting an experience letter from the company when he’s been terminated due to poor performance ?

Logically No is the answer because they have hired an employee assuming that he/she will perform well, but since the probationer was terminated due to poor performance the company will not be giving an experience certificate. Still one should try and convince if the employee has a good luck.

I agree with Saji that they will not give you experience certificate if you have been terminated from the company due to the poor performance during your probation period. In my views what is the use of such certificate,which carries adverse remarks about your performance.It is better not to have it.
You have another option to approach HR official of your previous company and request them to give an experience certificate without any adverse remarks. It is possible that they may agree to it.

To your question, yes, you are eligible for an experience certificate from the company. Also as Mr. Kalsi said, there is no point to have that certificate, as you should have been associated with that company for less than 6 months and moreover that certificate would mention that your mode of separation is involuntary termination. Which would not add any value to your career length.

A probationer appointed for taking on assignments at expected level in a given time is one who goes on learning, doing, learning on a time scale in ascending order. It may so happen, that he has not been able to focus and perform and in another situation, his seniors and associates have not been extending required support at all. Due to both situations, poor probationer has to go out due to expiry of Probation period .There is professionally large scope in these both situations wherein probationers if supported could get confirmations if they are taken through and given - structured Induction and the daily/ weekly assignments also under a Mentor who should guide and facilitate him to reach out all odds during his learning period. Mentors success, somewhere in leading ahead a probationer is linked directly as to whether a new joinee is performing satisfactory or his performance is not satisfactory.Its twin accountability within a department .Coming to instant issue related to experience certificate who is terminated due to poor performance. The role of HR is to build a bridge between employee and management . Ending the Probation period is "termination" according to me. Every human being has some areas to learn and improve UPON and in most of other dimensions he has tremendous potential, capability to perform. I strongly recommend and request HR heads to extend min. support to a new person walking out with grace. We can give experience letter to all without any discrimination.
You can mention that such and such person was in our employment from............to.............as (Post) in our (....Department) .His probation period has ended today and accordingly,, he has been relieved from the services on.......................We wish Mr.(name of probationer) every success in his future endeavor.

Probationers should also understand that there is too little time available for his training . He should prepare a training diary, get vetted out by his superior and keep up his performance high and superior . He should not show a single chance of unconcern regarding own assignments.
