Employers now have to comply with the following requirements from the PF department (EPFO):
1. Associate a UAN (Universal Account Number) for each employee in addition to the PF number.
2. Collect ID proof documents from employees as part of the KYC process.
3. Verify ID proofs.
4. Prepare a KYC bulk upload file in the format specified by EPFO.
5. Upload the file to the PF Employer Portal.
With these additional responsibilities, the HR department now has even more work to do. Generating the KYC file manually can be very cumbersome. The good news is that greytHR customers can now tackle this work in the shortest possible manner without breaking a sweat.

Thank you very much. But we have already created the KYC text file and successfully uploaded it on the web portal. If you follow the instructions clearly provided by EPFO "UAN correct method" to create the KYC text file, then it is very much easy.

Hi,
Could you please confirm if we need to submit the details of all employees for the first time or only for those whose UAN has not been created. An early response would be highly appreciated.
With Thanks,

Barkha,
You need to collect KYC documents of all employees.
However, you need to create a KYC text file for those employees whose UAN number is already created, and that needs to be uploaded to the web portal. Without the UAN number, you can't create a KYC text file because it is needed in the first column out of 13 columns.
For those whose UAN ID has not been created, you need to wait until their IDs are created and then create the KYC text file for the remaining employees and upload it to the web portal.

For all existing employees UAN has already been allotted by the EPFO in most of the cases and as of now only KYC need to be uploaded and validated by the Employer.

@priyankarudra,
Go to EPFO, OTCP portal, and confirm the previous employment (if any) or first-time employment as per Form 11 submitted by the member. It will generate a PDF; approve the same with DSC. The next day, your OTCP portal will display the newly allotted UAN.

@gspauri1 there is no such tracking id under KYC, that is file no, and last 6 months files are available for download and print under "approved pdf"
