Hi All,
I would like to know if Indian labour law mandates the employer to pay Over time allowance.
I am working in one of the leading Banking BPO, and my work time is 9 hours a day for 5 days a week, My Offer letter clearly states that if there is a requirement i have to streach and finish the job. I am happy to work but need to know after spending 2-3 hours in office will i be eligible for Over time payment. If so what is the criteria (out of 9 hours 1 hour is for lunch will that be considered) and how much should be paid. Also about night shift allowance.
