I have given my resignation with a 20 days notice period time against 90 days notice period as per appointment letter. The resignation has been sent by mail along with submission of hard copy . Even after polite reminder to reporting manager and to Manager -HR we have received and reply to 90 days notice period required.
As per appointment clause either I have to serve for notice period time(90 days). But due to my health problem i am unable to continue my notice period. I am serving only 20 days.
Kindly suggest what I should do. If there is any chance to company will take legal action against me.
Regards,
B.Balamurugan.

Dear Balamurugan!!
You should have to pay for another 70 days to get your relieving letter from the company.
Else check with your HR in case if they are ready to deduct your paid leaves against notice period then you will have to pay for the remaining days to release your relieving letter.
Mostly if you are not serving your notice period & leaving the organisation without any prior information it will be marked as Absconding from the organisation whereas in some companies they will mark these case as Absconding post resignation, which will end up in Termination letter.
Better pay for the balance days & change the resignation type as normal so that all other process will open for you.

Dear Sir, You escaped from the service. So you will not get relieving order now. If you plead, they may give service certificate for 2 years. It is enough. you pursue. D.Gurumurthy HR/IR Consultant
