Hi there,
Please do use this simple –
Basic Salary/31 * days of leave to be en-cashed = Your encashment.
Its 31 days cause December is 31 days the month where all leave balance are reviewed for carry forward.

To all Seniors,
What is the maximum number limit to which EL gets accumulated? I mean that every yr if the employee is not availing the specified no of EL they get carried forward to next yr and so on, my question is that to what number can the EL be accumulated then would be lapsed?
Looking forward to your revert
Thanks

Hi Parul,
According to the provisions under section 79 (5) of The Factories Act 1948, the earnned leaves balance can be carried forwarded to the next year and shall be accumulated not more than 30 days in a year. So EL excess than 30, either may be encashed when becomes due or may be lapsed, if not encashed.

Hey Swati,
Its really hard to go through such days. But I would suggest that you stand for yourself and if you are really not in dire need of job right now, you leave this job and start searching afresh. Even if it means you are unemployed for another month. But settle for something which gives you a chance to contribute your learning and also gives you a chance to learn.
Even I got a gap of 11 months due to my courtship and marriage and location change from Aurangabad to Baroda.
I got a job recently as front desk executive alongwith Admin and HR. This is obviuosly deviating from my HR studies but helps me learn and also gives me chance to add something new to my work.
I wish you luck for your future job and hope you get what you deserve.
P.S. It's never too late! Stand up and Start afresh... (easier siad than done but give it a try girl!)

NO. Leave Encashment is not a part of Salary break-up. Leave encashment is driven by company policy.
