I have worked in a total of 3 companies. Now, I'm joining an MNC. At the MNC, I have provided the exact salary from my last company. However, for the first 2 companies, I have only provided my in-hand salary multiplied by 12. I am unaware of the CTC for the first 2 companies because, after joining, they would give a salary hike after 6 months, but they did not provide me with a salary breakup, an increment letter, or even a salary slip. They did not provide a salary slip. Therefore, during the background verification at the MNC, I multiplied my in-hand salary by 12, resulting in a lower salary amount. As a result, the background verification shows a lower salary for the previous 2 companies, while the salary from my last company is accurately represented. Will this discrepancy cause my background verification to fail?

Hi, In case of verification what you wrote has to match with the salary data provided by that first two companies. In case of any query raised you can explain.

Can they terminate me for this reason? My last company salary is perfectly okay. And on day 1, should I tell this problem to HR? Should I disclose this problem myself, or after background verification, if they ask, then I will tell them?
