I don't have an appointment letter, but I have an offer letter which contains information about the package, leaves, probation periods, salary structure, and joining date. If I agree with the terms and conditions and have signed it, is an appointment letter still necessary? Please let me know.

Hello Laxmi,

An appointment letter is certainly important. It is the proof of the terms and conditions of employment, remuneration, etc. agreed upon between the company and the employee. However, nowadays, many companies do not provide appointment letters immediately upon joining because of the high turnover rate within the first couple of months. So don't worry, as it has only been a month. But do ask for an appointment letter if you are planning to stay with the company for a longer period.
