Dear All,
Cite HR members/seniors,
What is the time period by which minimum wages are revised? I think it is every 6 months. Is there any source of information through which we can know how many classes of labor are in every state and also to know all state minimum wages at a single click?
Regards

Dear Sunilk80,
The ID and BIR Acts are local laws applicable in Maharashtra. The BIR Act will not apply to all industries in Maharashtra; it applies to specified industries in specified areas only. The BIR Act may not cover the entire industry but specific processes. This all depends on the notification issued by the state of Maharashtra.

Thank you for the information. One thing is that because of CITE HR, I am always the first in my office to distribute information like minimum wages, holidays, and various formats.
Thanks, friends. I really appreciate the efforts of the seniors.

Dear All,
Cite HR members/seniors, what is the time period by which minimum wages are revised? I think it is every 6 months. The last minimum wages (special allowance) were revised on 1 July 2010 to "1394 Rs" (Shop Act). What is the next revision, and what about the basic wages?
Also, is there any source of information through which we can find out how many classes of labor exist in every state and also access all state minimum wages with a single click?

Hi everybody,
Thank you for sharing the revision of the wages in Maharashtra. As per my knowledge, the recent revision is in central wages and not state wages. The state government site still has the same wages that were revised in July and are valid until December 2010. However, the central wages sheet does confirm the revision from 1st October to March 2011. Can anyone confirm the same?

Suveer
