Dear sir,

I was working in a school as a teacher for 6 years, then I resigned on 17-06-2018. Now, I want to apply for my PF. For this, I need to enter the date of exit. However, my employer is not cooperating with me. He said that he will not disclose the exact date of exit which he submitted in the EPFO portal. I received my last contribution for June 2018. When I checked my PF passbook, it shows the last contribution of PF as 'cont. for 07-2018'. My KYC is updated, but I only need the date of exit.

What should I do now? Please help me. I am in urgent need of money.

Thank you.

Dear Zain Khan,

Your ex-employer might have already entered your Date of Exit in EPF Portal. Now, PF Withdrawal is through online. There is also provision to enter Date of Exit by Member in EPF Portal. You can enter your Date of Exit same as Date of Resignation.

I have perused your EPF Pass Book. Contribution paid till June 2018 (June 2018 Contribution remitted in July 2018). Enter your Date of Exit, file online withdrawal Claim-Form 19 & 10C.

But sir, if my employer entered a different date for the exit on the EPFO portal? Because he told me he will not show me the exact date which he entered in EPFO. If I enter the date of exit (that is my date of resignation) and if it's not matched with my employer's date, so is there any problem? Please help me, sir.

Mr. Zain Khan,

Your resignation date is 17-06-2018. If you have received salary from your previous employer for the period of 01.06.2018 to 17.06.2018, your exit date is 17.06.2018. However, if you have not received any salary from that employer, your exit date is 31.05.2018. Please check and confirm.

Thanks,

Dear Mrs. Zain Khan,

I am disappointed with your reply. You have not read my response attentively. There is no room for "if" or "but" in statutory matters. You need to log in to your UAN Member Portal and discover the joining date and leaving date. If the date of exit is not recorded, you can input it and proceed with the withdrawal. You can message your UAN, and I can verify it with the document containing the dates of joining and leaving. If your employer has entered the date of exit, it will be visible in your portal. If not provided by the employer, the member can input it. There is no option for entering it twice. Your concern is unnecessary.

Please let me know if you need any further clarification on the process.

Thank you.
