Hi all, Recently came across a query by an employee during 1 to 1 interaction. She asked if company can have policy of providing sanitary pads in office for any emergency use. This will help women employees because sometimes it is unpredictable the requirement.
I would like to know how other companies have implemented this practise as a policy for them and what are the best practice companies follow in such requirements.
Request seniors to help for creating a countrywide policy for our company.

Hi,
Based on number of women employees you may provide/ made available on request. You may put forth to your Management under employee welfare. It involve cost. So better recommend with some cost projection.
Allot the responsibility to some female employees in HR or in technical team. If implemented will be appreciated by female employees and will be seen unique welfare.

Hi,
Now under the Factories Act compliance also it is required to facilitate by the employer. Also local administrative authorities also started putting this requirement under the Waste Management Rules (includes the procurement and disposal both). You may please refer the local municipal or development authorities compliance requirement also; accordingly devise the policy within the organization where you work for; try to involve women employees to this initiative. This welfare initiative is going make great impact on your women employees and I am sure everyone will appreciate this. We have not taken any initiative since I have only one female employee.
With regards
