Dear Seniors,
This is Raja from Visakhapatnam, A.P. I passed PGDBM with HR in 2012. I have 2.6 years of experience as a Placement Officer in an NGO and recently shifted to the position of HR Executive in a Pharma company for the same salary of Rs. 12,000 per month with 3 years bond increments based on performance. I have just joined this company.
I request your suggestions on whether my decision is correct or not.
Regards,
Raja

You only need to sit and ponder over the reasons as to why you shifted from a placement officer in an NGO to an HR position in a pharmaceutical company, and that will answer your query. My personal view is that the shift may be good from the perspective of the multidimensional job profile of an HR executive, if you have an inclination for it.

Hi Raja,
Your change from Placement Officer at an NGO to HR in a Pharmaceuticals Company can be a good start. As a PO, your role may be limited or restricted, whereas your role as HR in a manufacturing setting has a broader scope to oversee all aspects affecting the human resources of the organization, provided you exercise it properly and deserve it. There is significant potential for advancement. WISH YOU GOOD LUCK & SUCCESS.
I have worked for over 30 years in HR, IR, Legal, and Administration functions in seven manufacturing companies - including Steel, Power, Chemical Plants, and Mines - with over 2000 employees. I have established HR departments, ensured compliance needs, developed Standard Operating Procedures, HR Manuals, Leave and all Service Rules, Policies, ISO Documents, and Formats for various HR roles in soft-copy for easy adoption in new companies. Please contact me for any assistance at c.neyimkhan@gmail.com or 09535470460.
Please provide your email address to receive details of 65 HR Forms and 150 Policies to help resolve most HR issues. Fees will be as per your company's policy.

Dear Raja,
Warm Holi Greetings! No doubt it's a very nice decision to shift yourself as an HR Executive in a Pharmaceutical Company. You have mentioned regarding "3 years bond increments"... this point is not very clear. It will be more convenient to comment once we understand the above point.
