Yes, in the construction industry, you will find more of administration and day-to-day activities to do. In construction project sites, there are very few HR activities.
I have been in the construction industry for more than 6 years, handling HR & Admin in project sites. I was not satisfied with the HR initiatives, so I decided to switch to the head office of a construction company. Now I am able to handle HR activities.
Still, I find that manufacturing setups or service industries have more formal exposure to HR initiatives, whereas the construction industry provides more exposure to different practical problems related to human areas of manpower.
