I am working as an HR executive in a small organization. My senior manager has asked me to frame HR policies such as an Employee Health Policy, Appraisal Policy, and Appointment Policy. Since I am a fresher, I don't have any idea how to draft a policy.
Could anybody please help me out with your guidelines? I would be grateful if someone could share the format.

Designing policies is a serious job because policies have organization-wide implications. Furthermore, these policies need to be customized to your company's requirements. Against this backdrop, it is not understood how a "senior" manager has delegated this work to a fresher like you.
The first test of managership lies in understanding what to delegate, to whom to delegate, and how much to delegate. If you search this forum, you will find ample policies. However, in deciding what is useful and what is not, I recommend leaving it to your "senior" manager.
