For expats, PF can only be withdrawn after retirement. If PF is deducted and there is a Social Security Agreement (SSA) between that country and India, as per the SSA, the PF can be withdrawn. If they have produced a Certificate of Coverage (COC), the PF will not be deducted in India.

Hi all,

I joined an organization three years ago and worked there for only seven months due to some problems, which prevented me from continuing. Now, I want to withdraw my PF amount. Is it possible now that I have left the job (7th July 2011)?

Hi Sudha,

I suggest you transfer the PF. Nowadays, it is very easy to transfer the PF online. Register your name on your PF portal, fill out form 13, and submit it to your present/previous employer.

Thanks,

Hi all,

One of my friends changed three companies in his 8-year career. Every time he withdrew only the PF amount by submitting Form 19. Recently, he found out about Form 10C for the Pension scheme. The issue now is, can he withdraw the Pension amount from his last three companies? He worked for more than 180 days in each company. Please help me. I am waiting for your valuable suggestions.

Dear All,

Even though you have withdrawn PF, you can transfer EPS. Fill form 13 from the present establishment with three companies separately and submit it to your PF office. Write on top of the application "For Transfer of EPS A/c only."

Thanks,

Hi Vidyadhar Bhat,

Thank you for your suggestion. I have another doubt. If an employee joins a new firm on the 25th or in the middle of the month, are they eligible to have PF deducted from their salary? Is there a minimum number of working days required for PF deductions to be made?
