It is important to note that the majority of the members here are employed in private establishments and are looking for information on Holidays for 2013 that are relevant to private establishments under the Shop & Establishment Act, Factories Act, or the National Festival Holidays Act, if applicable.
The post regarding Andhra Pradesh pertains to State Government establishments and not private sector establishments. Furthermore, the circular provided for Karnataka is from an association and has not been officially declared by any competent authority.
As someone involved in the compliance industry, I understand that in most states, there is no separate list of Holidays issued by competent authorities, as you are also aware.
Therefore, I kindly request you to refrain from sharing such circulars that may mislead junior employees in private establishments to adopt them and implement them in their organizations.
I trust that you will take the above feedback in the spirit of promoting the well-being of all members who rely on this forum.

According to a press release, those employed in factories would have national holidays on January 26, May 1, August 15, and October 2, and festival holidays on January 14, March 11, August 9, and October 14.
