Hi, I have joined a new company as a Business Development Manager, and I have presented them with several offers to start a new call center process. However, they are not ready for anything. If anyone could help me find a genuine process or the method of establishing it, it would assist me in retaining my job. Otherwise, I may face consequences that I cannot bear. Please, anyone, help me in this regard.

Its not with retail marketing or sales but its with it and ites related so i am little worried about things.

What are you talking about? Can you reread what you wrote and clarify? If you really mean what you say above, I kind of understand the consequences you say you'll be facing.

Anyway, back to the issue you have raised: you say 'they' and 'them'... who are 'they'? You are not one of 'them'?

Is it your initiative with the call center, or is it 'theirs'? If it is yours, but not aligned with the current strategy, I totally understand 'them'. What have you been hired to do? Do you know?! Go back to the manager and ask him what is expected from you. Maybe if you focus on what 'they' are expecting from you, you'd be more successful and you would love the consequences. Huh?

Dear Friend,

Please recollect what was discussed about the job profile during the interview or after joining. The company may not respond if you are doing what they don't want from you or what is not your job profile. Good! that you have performed, but is it to their expectation?

If the job profile or the expectation from your employers are different, try to do that. If that's not you, could you look for another job? There is no use in doing something, giving your life, and finally understanding that you were not expected to do that at all, so everything goes to waste.

Think about that and act. All the Best.

I totally agree with Lucian; you must go to your manager and understand what they want you to do or what your role is, so that you can recognize yourself, your work, what you are doing, and what your actual motive is. I'm sure you'll get your answer yourself.

I'm sorry, Mr. Ganesh. I don't think this is the right way to resolve this issue. How can you say that he has been asked to perform different work besides his job profile or what was discussed in the interview earlier? If he is still working with this organization and he knows what he is doing but is not happy with it, then this would be "dissatisfaction," and he is not satisfied with his job. An employee must understand what his employer wants him to perform, and there is no one who can ask you to do something totally different from your job profile when you have no experience in performing the same. However, he can ask his supervisor or boss that he is experiencing this kind of problem and he can't find the solution until he explains it to them.

I agree with what you said, and I believe that all of us should know what we are supposed to do and what we are doing. Please go through my text once again. I have asked him to check with his employer on what they expect from him. He's totally in the dark about what's happening as it seems there has been no reaction from his bosses.

Having been in Business Development for the last 23 years, I can understand his feelings. It's not possible to move ahead without a response to what you have done before, whether it be good or bad.
