Hi,
I would like to share with you the employee review of HDFC Bank on <link outdated-removed> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google )
The review is based on 14 specific parameters. Here employees are sharing their opinion about salary and workplace.
What they like about their work place
The Organization has strong Industry & Public image, through its robust business policies and well groomed media interacting team. It is also strong in enhancing shareholder money.
What they don't like about their work place
One has all the ownership of business but no clear authority. Though the HR team & policies is projected as to be as one of the best in the Industry, but in actual it is very weak. The 360 degree review holds no value and just a formality.
Supervisors here are very good at growth commitments but when it's payback time the HR processes & guidelines are the biggest excuses. There is no word as Employee recognition. No clear cut chart or indicator about Career development, the only indicator is as how one can be slogged over weekends and public holidays.
There is no mention about Work transparency Or Transparency in performance appraisals, which is just a gimmick. It totally depends on how thick skinned an employee is how good one is at taking verbal abuse.
Forget the Career development or training part.
Leave your Self-respect at home and work here as labourers
One Motto with which everybody works here......... I, ME & MYSELF.
Put your money in the company as shareholder but not your career.

I come from a very renowned institute. I was interviewed for a post of associate software engineer at Kanjurmarg branch through an employee referral on October 29th, 2013. I cleared all rounds on the very same day. The team manager and Associate VP were very positive; they assured me that HR Tushar would call me in a day or two.
After a month, I asked my friend to get in touch with HR. She did, and HR said, "Yeah, it's under process, and you will hear from us very soon." This was his response whenever I asked him. Then, in March 2014, I received a call from HR Tushar asking, "Are you still interested in this job or not?" I said yes, and then he told me, "You will get your offer letter in a day or two; it is waiting for clearances in the head office."
Then, after a month, he informed me that they had recruited someone else. I mean, you guys are so unprofessional, Mr. Tushar. It's the HR's duty to call the candidates and inform them. I have called him around 25 times with no response. Sometimes he is in a meeting, sometimes he's not at his desk, and sometimes he won't pick up the call. Even today, my friend asked him about the result, but he was not willing to call either of us.
If you had told me earlier, it could have been easier for me.
