Team,
This is regarding the Leave administration. I work at a manufacturing firm with an employee strength of 70. Therefore, we do not have a swiping card attendance system to monitor the attendance or the time in and out of the employees. Hence, it is difficult for me to manage the attendance and control the late arrivals of the employees.
Please suggest a format or an Excel sheet that I could circulate every week to all the departments to let everybody know the individuals' leave status, so that the peers or colleagues are also aware of that individual being on leave. Alternatively, could someone suggest a general format that I could use to get this whole system under control.
Thanks,

Hi,
You can keep track very well by getting the timesheet filled out twice a month, and also one register needs to be maintained, which should be kept with the security guard at the gate. In it, he would be recording the time in and out, and the employee just has to sign. We are doing this in our company, and trust me, it works.
Regards,
SJ
Please find attached the timesheet format.

Dear,
If you are working in a manufacturing concern, then the Factory Act will be applicable to you. As per the Factories Act, you have to maintain certain registers, including an attendance register and a leave register.
Please do one thing: place a register at the gate where everybody has to mark their in and out times. After monitoring this register, maintain the attendance register, start processing leave applications, and update the register accordingly.
With a workforce of 70 employees, in my opinion, you should consider implementing a punching system to better control attendance.
Thank you.
