I am looking for opportunities in HR. I am having 4 years of experience in HR handling Generalist HR profile with an IT company.
I left my job in June 2007 as i meet with an car accident & i had spine fracture. I was advised complete bed rest as i was unable to do any movements.
Now i am fit & fine and started to continue my career in HR further but i am not getting job in HR as i am having a gap of 1.5 years.
So frends i request suggestions from u all as to how can i continue my career in HR. I want to do MBA but at this moment it is impossible due to some financial crisis.

Hi Namita,
You can opt for correspondence course in HR (Part Time) and at the same time u can also try 4 a gud job opening,as you have mentioned that you have 4 yrs of experience earlier, y should you miss your career,My suggestion would be again if you are looking for an MNC then you need to prepare yourself full fledged + you should also have a doctor certificate which is very essential for an MNC company as u had a break of 1+ yrs.. You might wanna go for a certification course from an Authorised training institute for SAP HCM Certification.
This way you can start your new career in HCM and be a techno person. That is a highly paid job.
You can go for that. Remember, go for an authorised training institute with SAP India.

Hi Namita,
With 4 years of experience in HR you are sure to find a suitable opening in HR. You just have to be a little patient. The gap in your career is not of much relevence because of your genuine reason. You just need to communicate the reason for the gap to your prospective employer properly.
In the meanwhile you can pursue an MBA through a distance course to enhance your skills in the said area. Hope you have have great career ahead.

No Organisation can reject you on the basis of gap, since you have a very genuine reason. Probably you are not trying right sources. As far as MBA is concerned, as of now go for a corespondance one year PG diploma in HR from ICFAI.....it is not too expensive as well. Look out for good consultants and be in regular touch with them.
