Very good evening i have been join for a newly start up company where the employees are about 25 numbers
My manager ask me to prepared HR manual as well has Employee hand book, but friends could anybody suggest me what exactly the difference between HR Manual and Employee hand Book.

Employee handbook is summersied version of the HR Manual
It cantains only the Hr policies related to the employee. It also cantains the brief about the orgainization,code of conduct,brief Hirerchy and the conatct numbers,extentions of the key persons.

Employee Hand Book Completely carifies the policies, practices, procedures and general frame of work in the company. Hand book conatins info abt the company, vission, mission and its staragies etc. It also contains about general info abt attendence policy, lateness, medical benefits etc....
On the other Hand HR Manual is strictly designed for the HR department only......
Different companies have different frame of mind....
But in my opinon you can differentiate the above as i did.

Employee Handbook contains - mission, vision, values etc of the company and the general policies and procedures related to the company.
HR Manual contains - policies and procedures related to HR areas like recruitment, training & development, performance management system ,(some orgz do have this in the handbook itself) succession planning etc.
