Whether you are a contract employee or a direct employee, whether you are a permanent employee or temporary employee and you are getting salary above minimum wage rate, you need not be given a raise of DA revision. This is one view.
Another view is, DA is hiked on the basis of increase in cost of living index. My salary is fixed at certain level. And now due to increase in the cost of living index there is an increase in DA, I should get that benefit.
Employees can grab this benefit in collective bargaining.
