Nilesh,
I don't know if anyone else responded to your query or if you managed to find the info you were looking for, but here's my attempt to try and answer as best as I can.
I presume you are looking at the different channels of sourcing, which are broadly classified as :
- Head hunters/HR consulting firms
- College/Campus recruitments
- Advertising and marketing - the ads in newspapers, radio jingles, etc
- job portals - the Naukri/Monster/Dice, etc
- community portals - those irritating mass mailers on orkut, yahoo groups, etc :-)
- tele- calling - an effective method to get some quick numbers and works best in a BPO set up
- Referrals and references - head hunting firms use this method, I don't see any reason an organization can use it to meet it's needs
- social networking forums - college fairs, job fairs, exhibition grounds, religious seminars - a lot of consulting firms resort to this and manage to get in decent numbers that stand them in good stead
these are often methods that work well in volume hiring.
For level above the associate level, it's best to use 2 options - the advertisement in a well know national punlication - Ascent or The Economic Times and/or a 3rd party - the head hunter - this provides the best ROI in relation to speed, quality, pre screened profiles.
