Dear All,
i would like to know if under the Contract Labour Act, is there any rule somewhere in the Act, that Contract labour cannot be employed in certain industries?.If so, in what industries?.
Or alternatively, is there any specific list of industries where contact labour can be employed?
The Act act says that one cannot employ Contract Labour for perennial work.

In the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act there is no provision which prohibits contract labour in any kind of 'industry' but section 10 empowers the authorities under the Act to prohibit engagement of contract labour in core areas of activities which are perennial in nature and which can be carried out by full time regular workers.
