Hi,
In my personal opinion you should take up the job, see if you are enjoying it. Else you can always move on to another company from there. First, it is better to have a job in hand. If you can financially manage and are confident enough to convince the interviewer as to why you took a long break, then you can wait for some more time.
Thanks,
Divya

Dear ,
Experts have given their suggestions, as per my opinion you should join that consultancy job for now to get engaged and to maintain the continuity , as specially in corporates where you wish to join sooner or later gap in you C.V affect a lot, it depends that for a break or to search good job you can take some time , if you are not joining this company or any other then be ready to give justifying and logical answer to your interviewer's in future.
Job continuity matters a lot , so as per my views t should not copy the same act of gap.

Hi,
I have gone through your query in detail... however, practically or logically thinking from a HR Perspective... no companies will agree in hiring a person with a career break... irrespective of the fact it could be either short or long duration. Handling this sensitive situation... we could over come only if it can be justified with genuine reason such as Pursuing Higher Education or Health Constraints if any... and blindly declaring Personal front will highly sound unprofessional in a given situation.
Moreover, Please don't ever have a mind set... that you are open for Companies alone and not looking to join any Consultancies in particular as such. Then you are taking a wrong call... To be as simple as that, it all matters on your deliveries and strategies and not the place of work... provided if you are confident enough... Hence think and move on the right direction.
If still need clarity... Please do share your queries on
Thanks...
