Dear Dr. Kuldip S Charak,

The presentation is very good. It makes one understand the theoretical element behind the training and learning.

The practical execution requires trainer's ability to develop pre-training and post-training assessment questionnaire.

Most of the trainers miscue training for their personal ability like good communication skills, powerpoint presentation, games NLP etc. However, this is missing wood for the trees. Training anyone can do but real challenge of a trainer lies in pre-training and post-training assessment.

The second most important factor trainers' ability to understand the business. In these days of recession what matters is reduction of working capital through training or without. Training should result in:

a) increase in operational efficiency
b) stoppage of revenue leakage
c) bringing commercial sense among the participants

In your presentation, you have given emphasis on performance. Increaseed performance further leads to points (a) and (b) above but the language of money everyone understands easily.

Thanks and regards,

Dinesh V Divekar

Dear Mr Dinesh,
Thanks for going thru and making your valuable comments.
Pre & Post-training feedback is the backbone of any training program else how wud you assess the degree of transfer of learning to justify the program itself, in all respects including the ROI.

Dr. Kuldip,
I was surprised to see PPt on SAT, for the presentation is heavily drawn from or rather the exact slides of Direct Trainers' Skills, a five day programme run by Dept of personnle & trg of GoI. I am one of the competent persons certified to run this 5-day DTS programme and since the programme is vey highly structured and standardised programmes, I only felt that the availability of slides may lead to half-baked understanding of the contents and can lead to self-styled users distorting the essence of the whole content. I just wanted to share my feelings generally, without any intention of hurting anyone, about the sharing of ppts. Though the intentions are good, this also leads to proliferation of self-styled users, who just by having a ppt, start running programmes, wihtout acquiring deeper insights or experience in to the subject they are talking about. Can anything be done about it or is is somthing, we need to turn a blind eye to?

Dear Mr Gopalan,
Thanks for your critical appreciation. But I am of the opinion after much deeper evaluation, Deptt. of P & T once has imparted the training does not impose any legal binding as copy right, on the trainees not to practice the stuff.
You are right most of the contents have been derived from the SAT which I underwent 7 - 8 years ago in Delhi and then being a trainer for trainers kept practicing by making a lot of additions/ deletions keeping in view the requirement of trainee trainers.
My current ppt on the site is almost the same time old. And I do not practice exactly the same today but after a lot of updations.
I will wait for your more considered comments.
Warm regards.

:icon1:Dr. Kuldip, thank you for sharing your Train-the-Trainer PowerPoint presentation. It is filled with excellent materials.
For years I have been teaching the Heads-Hand-Heart concept to my session attendees. Fine minds do think alike.
Wishing you well, respectfully,
