Dear Uma,

I agree with Vinay, you would stand to learn more each time you use the 'Research ' tab. Here are few suggestions while you prepare on your knowledge or HR Generalist.

HR generalist usually covers every area from joining till exit including managing employee alumni. Ideally line HR works as generalist. This fundamentally excludes recruitment. Training may or may not be completely under this purview. Though, it would depend, on the organization structure, business model and the scale of the organization.

Here are few discussions which might help you build on this knowledge. Please do read the article as it reflects a day in the life of a HR Generalist.

Once you gain more knowledge, please do put your question related to the way of handling escalations or any other areas which may interest you.

Wish you all the best!
