it is also a kind of black mailing the staffs and there is also risk whether this documents are kept safe. this is my personal opinion
I have come across that this documents got lost by companies and they don't take any responsibility.
point 2; IF A PERSON WANT TO APPLY FOR ANY ADVANCE COURSES OR POST GRADUATION, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT WHEN THE COMPANY FORCE THE STAFF DO ANYTHING AND THEIR HANDS ARE TIED UP AND THEY CANNOT LEAVE THE COMPANY.

Dear All, No employer is suppossed to keep original documents of any employee and if these are being kept by any employers. it attracts legal proceedings. Thanks & Regards, S.P.Bhardwaj

Dear Drmz4you
It's not necessary to taking original documents of employees, they can check the status of originality of documents but they have not wright to keep the documents. If they are forcing you to submitted your original documents till your service period in that organization talk to HR department and confirm in which Act or law of India it's mandatory or you can deny to join such type of organization It might be possible they will blackmail you in future.
Thanks and Regards
