Dear Cite HR Members,
Greetings to all!
I graduated in 2010 and post that I joined CTS ( Cognizant)and was also waiting for my B school waiting list results. While on the training period, I finally got the call from B school that I am finally selected and have to join in a week's time ,since the waiting results usually takes time to come out and the time between waiting list to get cleared and classes is pretty less.
I told this to my SPOC in CTS but she told me to serve atleast 15 days. My friends in CTS suggested me to abscond and thats what I did.
Post that CTS never called me nor sent me any legal documents.
I completed my post graduation in 2012. Post that I joined an european bank in the finance domain. I never told them about my previous absconding past.
But I am always worried if somehow my recruiter comes to know about this.
Recently I have got offer letter from TCS to work in their finance domain. But I am really worried what if CTS shares data of absconding employees with other major IT giants. I never registered on NSR so details are not there.
I am ready to pay any compensation money to CTS just to save myself from my previous mistake. I want to keep my past clean so it doesn't ruin my future...
Please advise!
Thanks

It is already two years since you left your first company. Till now, no letter has come from the company. All good companies who concentrate on their primary goals are like this only, that they will not run behind an old employee who does not wish to work with us and spend their precious time in litigation. Therefore, you can forget the chapter for ever.
If you are really worried and for your peace of mind you would like to pay compensation to the company, I would say that don't do that. I don't think that such good companies would accept it, any how.
