Hello Seniors,
6 Months Back i joined an IT Company as HR. For new joinees we have a rule that he/she will be in probation for 3 months and after that he/she has to sign the contract for 1 year. Salary increment will be early.
At the time of joining, employees agreed at given salary for one year but at the time of signing contract after completing 3 months probation, they are asking of more salary hike.
This is happening for every 2-3rd Employee. Due to this my performance, and hard work is affecting.
Please help me out, waht can i do, what policies we can implemented.
Thank you.

Hello Mr. Mrugen,
I am doing HR Round and confirming that this x amount will be your salary and salary revision will be after one year. And candidate confirm the same and signed the offer letter.
At the time of Signing Contract, they are denying that this amount is not sufficient for whole 1 year and now i dont think that it's sufficient. Please suggest what will i do in this such situation.
Thank you.

Hello Mr. Mrugen,
Thank you for your revert and suggestion. We are planning this for new Employees from now on wards. and for already joined employees Increment period is 1 year from DOJ. and i am clearing the same at the time of final interview.
Eg. In january we recruited a Fresher in 8 k Salary and told him that his Salary revision will be in next January. That time he agreed for same and joined. now after 3 months, he is denying that now i have 3 months of Experience and for me 8 K for next 9 months is not sufficient and expecting around 11-12 K.
This situation i am facing with 3-4 Employees. and i am confused what to do, coz as per company policies, i an't increase salary and also my boss is not ready for increasing the salary.
Please suggest how i'll retain all those employees.
Thank you.

You have to give at least one offer letter stating clearly your terms in probation and period of confirmation etc. at the time of joining or earlier..
In such letter of absence, they may demand.
Any how they are in probation, let them drop away from work if they demand contrary to the terms expressed by you at the time of joining.

Hi
You can also say the employees that who ever is not bound to the commitment mentioned in the Offer Letter they may not Receive their Relieving letter and even if they join any other company with this Expereince you may not help them out for any background Verification.

Hello Mr. Shpriyar,
This is My problem, i am working at Ahmedabad, and most of companies are not doing employment verification over here. This is the only reason employees leaves, if demands will not be fulfilled.
I started this in my Company when i joined here, but not getting any such cross verification from others.

Hello NM Chaturvedi,
Further to what Mrugen Vyas suggested, there are 3 possibilities in the situation you mentioned:
1] Maybe the starting salary is LOW--vis-a-vis the general trend in your city?
2] The change in attitude seems to be coming AFTER the guys join--are they being tutored/brainwashed [that they can better salaries] by someone internal [any employee already well-established] in the first 3 months?
3] There seems to be some sort of communication gap between you & the employees during the Interview process--and I am NOT taking the Verification part into account here. Do you have the practice of retaining/taking any Originals?
What is the response of such employees when you remind them that they agreed to the Terms @ the time of Offer? Does anyone say he/she doesn't remember that this point was informed to them at all OR any such statements?
Frankly, I am not really sure how Verification would help you to resolve this problem--it would, at the best, ensure that the employees'will have tough time in their NEXT opportunity. So suggest focus on YOUR problem rather than issues that are not in your control.
All the Best.
Rgds,
