What kind of info do you need? Training Initiatives in Manufacturing Sector is a deep topic. Can you please point out specifics for my benefit?
For example, do you wish to research on training administration or needs or kinds of courses or effectiveness or what. All of these are initiatives in themselves... fulll time responsibilities. Hence this request for specifics.
Cheers

Cultural trainings
(Manufacturing & Non-Manufacturing) Process trainings
Mandatory trainings on Quality Systems
Company policies, proceduers, code of conduct
Soft Skill Trainings (Leadership, Team Management, Anger Management, Stress Management, Communication skills, etc)
Computer Systems Trainings
Mode of delivery: Classroom trainings are more popular than online mode in manufacturing set up. I personally believe lot of mandatory, awareness & policy oriented trainings can run better through an online mode (eLearning). Most of manufacturing companies deliver in classroom set up.
The other good way to impart training inmanufacturing is through work based project... gaining popularity these days.
One major area of training in manufacturing is around the Quality Systems and Processes. This is an ongoing initiative in mfg sector.
Workers training: related to shop floor operations inlcudes mfg process, shop floor mgt, inventory mgt, plant layout, Kaizen, machine operations, troubleshooting, soft skills (if mfg process requires manual work - train them on handicraft skills to develop hand movement during mfg).
Training initiatives in Mfg also include conducting inter depart or inter-plant competitions for identifying skills to do a particular process step.
Hope this basic information helps in getting a direction for your project work.
