Dear Seniors
I have been working in a good reputed company(National/International presence) since last 1.5 years and planning to shift Now.
The problem here is that my company does not have the policy of returning the PF amt. When ex employees asked for it they ignored or behaved rudely. It is almost a year now but none of ex colleagues have received their PF and have also left the hope..How do i go abt it in my case..My PF is quite a good amount.
Please give ur inputs that are practically possible.Looking at the current scenario I find contacting PF offices would be waste of time and money.
Also please advise,How much time does it take for the company to complete all the formalities and release the PF of an employee?
Regards

Hi Purvi_S
Normally after the employee resigns , it takes atleast 4 founths to credit the PF. The problem you have mentioned , pl clear whether any PF withdrawal form ( Form 19 and 10C) is being filled while employee leaves? Also do u get a payslip where in PF number is mentioned? have u filled PF Form No-2 at the time of joining? If all this is done , there is no way company have a policy not to give PF back. Does your company has its own PF trust or they deposit the PF with PF authorities?
If they are depositing the PF with PF authority, then when your PF withdrawal form is submitted PF department gives a acknowledgement slip of receipt of the form. So you can do the enquiry of your PF status based on the acknowledgement, or you can see it online also.
I hope it will clear your point.

Dear Purvi,
If your company is not returned the PF amount,u can transfer this amount to new company.(when u want to join it) .U can claim the PF amount after 3 months of your leaving. And Once the Pf form is submit to the PF office,U'll get the amount within 1 month.

I have filled the PF FORM when i joined the company. My PF no. is also shown on my salary slip.None of my ex employees have filled the forms called Form 19 and 10C.also when my colloegues enquired they came to know that though we have our PF nOS. The pf amt deducted is not actually paid and god knows what the company does of that pf amt
