Hi, eveyone. Myself Nehal Sheth live in Gujarat. I want to know regarding the ammendments in labour laws. I found every labour laws on internet but the problem is that It's 2 years or more old. so right now some act may be ammended. So I want to know the following question's answer regarding ammendments in act.
1. Is there any fix date or time(like budget) when govt. announce ammendments or it may be anytime?
2. If it may be anytime, then how would we know that this act has ammended( I mean Is that any book or some website or blog or anything like that where we can find the latest ammendment)
3. If I want to know the latest act(after ammended), Is there any site or blog or book where I can find the latest act.
I hope you all are understand my question. Please guide me.

For such ammendments you can purchase newly pubisled books related to labourlaws or you may google and log on to state wise labour organsiations website for updations and ammendmends , as every department update any changes /updations on their official website.

1. Sir, as and when major changes are made in any laws including labour laws, the gist of amendments is generally mentioned in newspapers. You can see and find out from newspaper reports about laws which are being debated for amendment at present. However, the amendment of laws is a lengthy process and takes much time.
2. The best way, in my opinion, to get up-dated laws/Acts is to purchase a bare Act alongwith up-dated rules and regulations from any of law bookshop in your city. The Central or State Govt. departments, though upload relevant laws/Acts and rules on their websites, but donot up-date the same regularly.
3. In addition to Acts etc, there are number of Rules both Central & States and also Regulations which are amended as and when it is considered necessary. In my opinion, after the amendments are notified and made effective, you can find the same from Law Book shops itself, as and when the new edition of said Bare Act /Rules/Regulations is published.
