I want to know what is a training calendar? Is it a document which contains what training programs are being conducted day-to-day basis at a particular location? Also I would like to know what are all the documents are to be maintained related to Training in Training and development section of a firm.

Training and Development is a process. You know a process involves Inputs.............+ add values............you will get the outputs.So the following process is followed :
Identification of training needs...................you require Job descriptions or standard parameters of performance.Now try to match with employees and find any gap or needs fro further development to keep the employees abreast with the changing environment.
Prepare Yearly or Half Yearly Training Calendar : You group the identified training programmes. It will include S.No, Employee Code,Name of the employee, Name of the Trainer, Month in which it is tentatively schedule, Actual date od conducting etc ...you may design the format as per your requirements.
Devise Monthly training Calender based on the above
Start conducting the taring programmes : Put timely circulars or notices for the same
After the programme collect the Training Feedback reports to analyse the results to take appropriate actions.
You may design formats and log books as per your reuirements.
