Hi, I work for a start-up with 6-8 employees. Additionally, we have 3 people in the management - CEO, Sales Head, Director of shared services (HR & Finance). Except for the CEO, both individuals were appointed by a different organization that funded this start-up (the CEO was a former employee of this organization). I report to the Sales Head.
The company practices include receiving the salary slip after 15 days or sometimes together for a quarter, not receiving a relieving letter on the last day of the notice, and the employee code not being mentioned in the salary slips.
As one person handles both finance and HR, if I wish to resign, should I send my resignation directly to the CEO by registered post to be on the safer side? Our notice period is 1 month, and I am prepared to serve that. Is there a way to receive my relieving letter and final cheque on the last day of the notice period?
Kindly advise.
Thanks

Startups are started with ambition, and they do go through tough phases. It takes a lot of conviction to become an entrepreneur. You should appreciate the opportunity that you've been given and learn from it. Money can be acquired at any point, but the startup experience is something to cherish. Be polite when you want to exit from them.
