Dear Seniors,
I am working in MNC as Jr. Executive. Where my work profile mixed like-Attendance and Overtime handling, Assist in Reports,Coordinating with HR dept for Manpower of Engg. Dept., General Administration work, Employee Engagement like Employee get-together, Party arrangement for Engg Dept. Family members, Ticket Booking coordination with HR Dept. Exit Interview formalities,Induction and Training coordination ,Vendor Permission etc.
I have completed my MBA in HR in Sep 2010 (Part Time), and after completion i ask to HR Manager for any opportunity in HR Dept. He said that we have no opening in HR but they recruit other persons for HR dept. and not give me a chance. Now i am very frustrated with my job profile where i can't show my profile properly and i am not receiving any opportunity from other side when i apply for some hr related openings.
Kindly suggest me what should i do? Please help me seniors.
With Regards,

Dar Nikhi,
Going through your responsibilities you are doing more of HR jobs like induction, payroll management, Manpower planning, MIS reports, employee engagement, Training, Exit formailities & some of Admn jobs. This is a generlist role, having an MBA - HR it is possible to get a good HR generalist role, have patience and also focus on other facets of HR.
Good luck.

Dear Nikhil,
Though i have less experience than you but i feel that u r getting exposure to HR activities
at this profile, At this time you are engaged in many HR activities but the problem from your perspective is that you are not in complete cycle but u can acquire these skill there is nothing to get frustrate.
You should do one thing that try to learn some more skills, you can do this by
observing your seniors, coordinators and through sharing also.
This will make your profile and resume attractive and capable for a suitable one.

I Agree with Kamesh, you already are responsible for many things related to HR and the problem seems to me is that you are frustrated bcz the other person has recruited instead of you. And you forget that you are not much experienced and the person has recruited might be an experience person. I don’t think there is any problem and would suggest you to do your work sincerely instead of making complain.
Second, does not worry about mix profile infact, you must take it positively that you are responsible for kind of work/activities (Both HR & Administrative) which will certainly help you in future. As Aparna said that this is a time to learn, need to enhance your skills, not to make complains.
