Dear Babu,

Great efforts! I think this way, a lot of unsolved cases can be closed. I would like to know, as per the PF Act, whose responsibility it is to submit the form for withdrawal of the Provident Fund. Is it the employee who has already left the company, or is it the last employer who has to submit it to the PF authorities after completion and endorsement of accumulations?

It actually depends on the employee's interest. If an employee wants to have their accumulated PF transferred after joining a new company, they can go for it. Otherwise, if the employee prefers to withdraw it, then it is the employee's responsibility to request the HR of their previous company for PF withdrawal.

He can get his Form 13 signed from any of the following and then needs to be submitted in the PF office:
1. Manager of the bank where he has the savings account.
2. Head of the educational institute.
3. A gazetted officer.
4. The Magistrate.
5. President of the village/Panchayat/ MP/MLA.

In the corrected text, I have fixed the spelling of "realy" to "really" and "new comers" to "newcomers." I have also added a comma after "thanksss" for proper punctuation. The overall message and tone of appreciation for the usefulness of the information have been preserved.

Ensure there is a single line break between paragraphs for better readability.

Hi Babu,

This is Prasad, an active member in the CiteHR group. I saw your posting regarding PF on CiteHR. I would like some suggestions. I applied for my PF withdrawal in July 2010, but I have not received the withdrawal amount yet. Can you please suggest how I can track it or how I can file a complaint? Please check the attachment for the acknowledgment.

Thank you.

Hi, I have a question on PF withdrawal. I have resigned from my existing organization and have taken up a new job outside India. I want to withdraw the complete money accrued to my PF/pension fund. Since I shall be going abroad, I cannot transfer this money to my new employer. My question is - is this money taxable as per the income tax rules in India? I need a quick response, and if this is not taxable, then the clause number as per the IT Act so that I can cite the same. Thanks in anticipation for the help. Shvro1958.

I need to check and seek guidance/clarifications from experts and seniors on the following:

If an employee resigns from a job after working and contributing to PF & EPF for only three years. After resignation, he wants to withdraw the amount (both contributions self and employers) from PF/EPF. Will there be any Income Tax liability on a refund on such a withdrawal? Will the PF/EPF deduct Income Tax (TDS) before paying to the member?

Kindly help.

Regards and best wishes,
