Dear Farzana
Thank for your response.
I could read between the lines and I can fathom and understand many things left unsaid.
I am certain that many other things must have come into the fore; including the fact that you have a two-year old child to take care of, as well.
Moreover, having a 'toxic' boss/reporting authority, complicates the matter.
Considering all these, you should expedite your movement.
Wish you all the best.

Dear Farzana,
I had a glance in your case. It is really unfair. Your company is lacking proper compensation management. You mentioned that you are doing your MBA. When you are going to complete it? May be very soon. In this present scenario if you are finding time for your studies, it is a kind of bonus to you. If you change your job now, in a new set up you may not find time for studies. So utilize this opportunity. Focus on your studies and in the meantime keep talking to your management, avoid additional responsibilities and focus on your studies. Ofcourse, keep trying for a better job. Either of this will happen soon, (i) will get increment or (ii) get a better job (iii) complete your studies. Once you complete your MBA, hopefully you will be in a better position to negotiate/demand your pending increments and position. Elearner.

Dear Anil,
Thanks for your reply.
At the Mid of 2010, company appointed new Administration & HR Director. He is well experienced & he is potent to handle all the issues in our company.Totally we have 3 sister companies. Our new manager re-structured all our organization,by avoiding unwanted employees. He noticed some of the employees had little work with pay.
He decided to terminate the unwanted employees & he gave me more responsibilities.
Really i am confused, why he doesnt increase my compensation?
This is my final trial, i am going to talk to my supervisor after half an hour & update the status.
Thanks.

Hi
First judge yourself that u r working efficiently within certain time. As well as just give a look toward company requirement. If all the work u did are correct, then u have to change company.
thanks

Dear Farzana,
Are you not able to decipher anything from the whole circumstances? Can I tell you something. With all the facts you have put it across, it gives me a pulse that the "management does not want you there". There may be many reasons and we need not discuss in this forum.
You said the new person who recruited fired some of the people and gave you more responsibilities, but did not compensate you the way you should have been, right? They also hired someone, put under you to give training and paid them more than what you are being paid today, right? You seem to be little senior in the company and they are not able to tell you to "push off" directly. It is absolutely clear that by doing so, you will be over burdened, get dejected, and will put in your resignation and go off on your own.
Do not waste time further, push off as quickly as possible.

Dear Farzana,
Increments in private organizations depend mostly upon how you can present your annual performance through your annual performance appraisal report. You may or may not look for another job but in every organization your performance need be reflected properly. So, you must learn the art of writing your performance appraisal. Rather where you are handling additional workload also on account of removal of 4 persons from your unit that must be reflected in a very impressive manner to catch the eyes of the management about your talents.
One more thing, I don't how far it may be correct particularly in your organization, I feel in Middle East/Gulf countries gender discrimination is also there. That only you can tell if it is there or not in your organization?

Real fact:
In some of the reputed companies no increments, no bonus. They just try to expand their business by using money. And also they don't even consider about the employees efforts which are involved. In many companies employee with same profile is earning more even though they have less work load.
Hope if there would have been some law to equalize the salary don't you think....

Dear Farzana,
Remember allways in mind that employer never think the same way as an employee. From our point of veiw we think our worl load has been increased so we should pay more according to the increased burden but employer never think so, in their opinion their employees are just for them a part of the key to profit. And moreover we are still working with one human mind and with two hand and two legs and if we did not need or we have not to work more then our previuos working hour then we cant say that the burden is increased, yes we know that we are working more and particularly when we know that we are doing the job in a better way than before then automatically we start to think about some rewards but the question is that for whom we are doing all that, is he is aware of this or not ? So if you have direct and healthy relation with your employer or and board of director then you should directly communicate about this to them, your second option is to communicate to you senior in line and let him to talk and wait and your last option is to try somewhere else but keep in mind never resign or loose your current job untill you do not get any response. Ok
