Dear Sudipta,
Your post is unclear. If you want to request, you can do so either verbally or through email using appropriate methods such as performance management systems or evaluation methods. However, why do you only want to write about one individual employee? Is there no increment cycle in your organization to follow?

Thank you.

In most small-sized companies, there are no systems, policies, or procedures. If the Managing Director (MD) feels a job role is critical and the employee is threatening to leave, then an increment, monetary reward, or even a promotion is given!

Dear Mr. Sundaram,

That is okay, it is reality, but when the post has been specific to write to the MD, then the suggestion was made. Even small-sized companies can follow the systems if they intend to and want themselves to organize better.

Mr. Patnaik, I also meant the same! Obviously, there are no systems or procedures, or nobody had ever approached any member of the Management for annual increments... something perhaps non-existent. I am privy to such situations in a leading logistics firm in Doha, Qatar, where we stayed for over one month to create policies, procedures, systems, PMS!

Best wishes
