Hi,
The service certificate is a confirmation from the employer about the continuation of employment of the employee in that particular organization. Whenever the employee needs any loan / applying for higher education etc., the employee will submit a written application to the employer and basing on the application the employer or his representative will issue the service certificate.
The experience certificate is the letter after submission of the resignation by the employee / completes the notice period & required formalities like handing over , no-due certificate , Exit interview formalities then after relieving an experience certificate is being provided by the employer.
The service certificate is issued during the course of employment wiht the organization & experience certificate is provided after closure of the employment ie., on termination of the employee / employer relationship.

Agree Mr. Nagaprasad i.e. experience letter can be better testimonial than service certificate because exp letter is given by employer without any request.

Service certificate captures only duration and post held. Experience letter along with these details capture briefly nature of work done by the individual

If an employee is serving his notice period and if he is asking for a service certificate, is it advisable to issue the same?
