Recruitment is basically attracting candidates to apply for the post or the job.
Selection is the rest of the process where you choose the candidates who matches with the SKA of the job.
Selection starts with resume scanning where recruitment ends.
I believe induction and orientation are more or less same.

It's a general misconception specially by IT industries to name the whole process of hiring as Recruitment,where as recruitment is a process of attracting pool of potential candidates from the labour market to apply for the job where as selection is an elimination process to choose the best fit for the job.
Recruitment process can be in the form of advertisement in different media,employee referral,walk-in,through placement agencies.
once screening and further shortlisting of resume starts that becomes the part of a selection process.
