Dear Mr H K Mehtaji, it is discussion point and it is purely my personal opinion, there is no Voluntary coverage in ESI as on date . and no benefits given by ESIC to excluded members.

Dear All
I agree with the views of Mr Harish.
There is no provision in the ESI act to pay the contributions upto 15,000 even though they are drawing more than 15,000/-. Specifically mention in the act that those who are drawing Rs. 15,000/- and below will be covered under the act. Mr Reddy,s views on this is not correct.

Dear Nagaraj,
He can avail ESIC benefit if he/she withdrawing gross 15000 becoz as per ESIC act a employee who's gross salary is till 15k can avail benefits of ESIC
BUT if gross salary is Rs. 15001 than he/She can not take benefit of ESIC

Dear All,
No Option is prescribed and available for optional coverage. Upper limit is 15k and if increase than it will be 25k.
Person having increased salary above 15k in mid of the year is eligible for coverage for next September or March. (Half Year Closing). After the period his name and contribution has to be omitted.
However as far as my knowledge is concerned, he will be getting medical benefits from Next Six Months (Correct me if i m wrong!!) from last contribution month.
Best Regards!

Hello mr.Nagaraj based on my opinion
An employee who is drawing 15k above he is not eligible to ESIC due to the act
Because the person who is drawing 15k above he is definatly capable for paying money to the hospital.sooo the act was developed based on some parameter who are capable and who are not capable.if the employee drawing 15k below that is low salary he is not capable to pay additional benifits.soooo based on these it is developed.....................if any mistakes are there please excuseme my dear family members because i am fresher and this is my first message

Dear all,
the employee whose salary is more than 15k is not eligible for Esic, Bt if any any particular month he takes leave and because of absents his salary is less than 15k. Than does ESIC applicable to him.
Waiting for your valuable suggestions.

Dear member(s),
With reference to issue raised by Mr.Varalaxmi....as above, the employee( as per example mentioned) will not be coverable even though getting less wages due to absence or non-sanction of leaves.
