Dear Dr. Kuldip,
Thanks for the nice compilation and covering the major points. It would be nice to include some dos & don'ts. You would agree with me that an action plan is one of the gains from the training programs and most of the training programs fail to achieve the objectives for lask of thrust on making an action plan by the participants. More importantly, periodic self evaluation of the action plan and corrective action determines and differentiates a successful training program and not so successful program.
Also, at times, one comes across persons who consider attending a training program as a short vacation. An action plan would atleast force participation from such members...

Dear Mr. Gopalan

To your appeal - "Can anything be done about it or is is somthing, we need to turn a blind eye to?", I have to say that plagiarism should not be tolerated at all. Its one thing to use someone's material without permission; but entirely another when one credits oneself with the material.

In this forum, if you see my posts, I have always fought against plagiarism. People using other's material without permission, should at least quote and give credit to the source.

I can understand how bad it feels, when one finds that his created materials are being merrily used by others, for profit, and being passed off as one's own material.

Plagiarism is a shameful act, having same gravity as theft of tangible physical material, and should be condemned by all.

I think we Indians are more susceptible to this evil. Given half a chance we would violate all copyrights and put our names on everything; be it movies, music, books and literature, scientific articles, research papers, project reports; and even training materials and PPTs.

Regards.

Dear Mr Raj,
The instant case is neither plagiarism not theft nor not-acknowledging any source.
This is something which is taught in the open class with notes. And the ppt is prepared on the basis of inputs from the notes as well as using experience including inputs from various other sources those even do not deserve acknowledgment because of several reasons as design, structure and presentation is original and your own.
In such a case how would you describe such a case/ preparation as a case of theft or plagiarism and bhashaning around so much without knowing the facts of the case.
Hope users will use this ppt in good spirit as we are using the others and enjoy the matter. And in case of any ref, will get back for clarification.
Regards.

Dear Friends,
PPT on Training for Trainers was deleted from the site as few of our esteemed members could not digest the highly professional contents as their hegemony went on stake. They started making certain comments that were not in consonance with the dignity of a learned person.
Inconvenience caused to my friends who could not use the PPT, however, is deeply regretted.
With warm regards.
