As advised by learned members of the forum, 12 hours shift are illegal in India. On the other hand long shift hours will lead to stress and work overload. It can lead to employee disengagement, increased work accidents or emotional breakdowns which can eventually impact company working and cost. It will also impact daily social life of employees as they will have lesser time to spend with family.
